lesson 5

as usual we started off with the Yoshi Oida exercise, we ran through what we've devised up to, the run through was successful, as we have become stronger as an ensemble and realising that if we want it to be successful all of us have to put our all in it, of course there were moments where it wasn't as strong but we as a company we were able to bring the energy back up, when not being in the scene it was good to see progress made in other scenes and how the play is still developing, my initial thoughts towards the play was that it is going to be hard to devise as there are no proper traditional characters and there are no stage direction but the whole process has changed my mind, its been fun and interesting putting together this play and exploring different things/elements to see if it will strengthen the play. We began to focus on the ending scene so all the senses/qualities were asked to make three gestures for their quality or senses. Mine is arrogance my first position is both my arms in the air with my chest pushed out and my chin facing up, my second one was my right arm pointing infront of me and my chin tilted back and my final one was both my arms are crossed and my legs slightly parted with my chin facing up. after making these gestures we merged them into one gesture, so us and everyman would be able to do it smoothly while saying our allocated lines. at the end of the lesson both negative and positive feedback was given. Notes given to us positive; lift with Michelle during opening children game scene was really good alive moments of action.
Negative; needs to be more romance in the pair scene with nick- we are teenagers. Mr bright side be more fun party moments. Fellowship act more drunk.

Other notes given fellowship during a certain song go and get items of clothing to dress up for a party
