lesson 10

We have now reached the point where when we walk into the space our focus is on point and as an ensemble we create a bond through energy when doing the Yoshi exercise, as we continue to do this every rehearsal we become stronger, more relaxed and focused. This rehearsal we worked on the ending of the play, this is the death scene and involves everyone, we got into pairs of threes; in each group there was an Everyman, we were requested to make a unique movement that clearly shows everyman trying to save the other two people while they die in their arms. with this we began to add in lines from the script we ran through this multiple times and then our director Ben made a suggestion that we should try it again but with music in the background and freedom to say our lines whenever, we found out that this was the better option and made the atmosphere and the meaning of this scene stronger and more emotional. we kept running from the sense and goods scene into this scene to have a smooth transition and this was done by moving to our places while singing 'follow you into the dark' as an ensemble.
